The latest news of the 7th Pay Commission is 2018: At the end of a long wait, the central government employees are likely to increase their salary from next month. As promised by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in 2016, the center could increase the salary of the low-level central government employees as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission from April. Salary matrix Level 1 to five sa
lary salaries will see employee increments
According to the report, the NDA government is planning to increase the minimum wage from Rs 18,000 to Rs 21,000.

According to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the factor of FIT has increased from 2.57 times to 3.00 times. However, the Central Government employees have demanded an increase of 3.68 times in the fitment factor, which is against the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission or 7CCC, which recommends three times the fitment factor.

It is also important to add that growth based on wage matrix level will vary. It is considered as a conscious effort of the government to reduce the inequality in income among high-end and low-level government employees. In this way, already well paying employees can not be deducted more than the general benefit. In order to reduce remarkably uneven income, the Finance Ministry had directed the merger of all group B officials along with group C employees of all the directives on Central Board of Excise and Customs on February 12. It was seen as a pioneering effort to merge officials with employees' employees. In order to solve the issue of salary discrepancies, the Narendra Modi-led NDA government formed the National Discrepancy Committee (NAC) in September 2016.

Meanwhile, the newly elected Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Deb Kumar has announced that the Tripura government will constitute an expert committee for the implementation of the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission for the employees of the state government. It is notable that the BJP has promised to implement the recommendations of the seventh pay commission in the state during its election campaign.

A week after the announcement of the Chief Minister of Tripura, the Gujarat State Government announced the benefits of 7th Pay Commission for 8.77 lakh people (more than 4.65 lakh employees of Gujarat Government and more than 4.12 lakh pensioners). Allegedly, under the leadership of Vijay Rupani, the Gujarat government will start exiting these benefits to the employees from this month.
